For our latest episode of the Lakeshore Video Podcast, I visited Spare Room Studios in Chesterton, Indiana — a brand-new creative space built for photographers, videographers, and podcasters in Northwest Indiana. From Weddings to Creative Studios: The Story of Spare Room Studios
Spare Room Studios began in 2018 as a small event décor and rental business — born out of a love for crafting custom floral designs and decorating local weddings. Over time, it grew into something much bigger. Co-owners Cheryl and Tiffany turned what started in a basement into a full creative hub featuring six unique rooms for photo shoots, podcasts, small events, and more.
Their journey is a true Northwest Indiana success story — from moving endless boxes up and down basement stairs to building a full creative campus with styled spaces, professional lighting, and even a dedicated podcast studio.
“We call it the warehouse of all things pretty, practical, and peculiar,” Cheryl said during our conversation. “If you can dream it, we can style it.”
Inside the New Podcast Studio (a.k.a. Studio C)
